The cards I have made that I really want to share with the world. Because if I didn’t want to share it, it wouldn’t show up on my blog.

Mothers Day Card Fundraiser

So, there are a lot of people who go to my church. That’s a good thing. The bad thing is that the building is very small. It’s also seen better days. So they decided to start planing for a new building. That’s a good thing. The bad thing is that new buildings cost a lot. So I’m doing a fundraiser for my church. That’s a good thing. I can’t think of a bad thing in that…

Mother’s Day cards, by donation. The suggested donation is $5 with 50% going to the church for a new building. I know it doesn’t seem like much but every little bit helps. And I think we have a sponsor who will match all the donations to the church. So really, you give a little, twice gets given, and you get a card for your mom too!

Here is one of the cards I’ve done so far. If you would like something more specific, just ask. I might be able to do something for you.

I will try and post more cards as I make them. You can e-mail me at lora-lynne@frewing.ca with any questions, purchases, or whatever you can think of in regards to my cards. Thank you all. Have a great Mother’s day! (It’s May 11th for those of you who don’t know).

Zoo Review

My nephew is turning one! How the time goes. I feel like it goes faster for me and slower for everyone else. And at the same time, others probably feel the same way about themselves. Time is such a strange concept.

Anyway, he is super cute so I thought I wold make him a super cute card for his special day. The geraff is from the stamp set Zoo Review which is being retired. The Happy Birthday banner is from the stamp set Banner Greetings which is a hostess set and also being retired. I figure I’ve got a short window left to use all these retiring sets before I put them on my “for sale” shelf. Hope you enjoy!

Quilled Cross Card

I think I’m getting the hang of this Quilling thing. Here is a card to wish you all a happy Easter!

DSC_0838

Colours I used were Very Vanilla, Wild Wassabi and Perfect Plum. Curl 1/8″ strips of paper around a paper pricing tool to get your curls. Use Multi-Purpose Glue to adhere them to the card and help manipulate their shape. It’s a good idea to plan out what you want to do before you start the project. Saves a lot of time.

Happy Easter everyone!

Easter Baskes

So I thought I would make these ridiculously cute baskets for the kids at our church for Easter… then I realized that the kids might out number the adults in our church. I think I’ll just make a few. Siblings can share.

Here is one in each of the colours I did them in. Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder, Pair Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron. Just weave 1/8″ strips of paper together, glue all the ends down with Multi-Purpose Glue, braid three strips together for the handle, and your done! Fill with mini chocolate eggs (or whatever you like) and hand them out. Have fun trying that one.

A Sale-A-Bration Birthday Page

So here’s two coordinating pages using the Sweet Sorbet designer paper, Banner Blast stamp set and the Banner punch that you can get for free with this years Sale-A-Bration. Of course the little girl in all the pictures is what makes the pages so amazing. But then again, seeing as I’m her mom, I might be a little bias.

Order as many packs as you like, and keep them in stock for when they are needed. They can be all in the same colour or in four different colours. They are 4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″.

Scrapbook Page, My Garden

Last year for mother’s day, my husband and son got the help of my dad and built me a new garden bed for our small backyard. I loved it so much. I still love it. So I thought these pictures needed a very special scrapbook page.

DSC_0563

The paper colours are Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White and Crumb Cake. The ink colours are Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi and Soft Suede. The stamp sets uses are Stippled Blossoms, Hardwood and My Mother. I used the Ovals Collection framelits with the Big Shot to cut out the ovals the “Happy Mother’s Day” is stamped on. Everything else is cut out either by hand or with the Stampin’ Trimmer. Glue, Snail, and Dimentionals were used to put it all together.

I’m having so much fun with the new “Hardwood” background stamp. That’s what I used to make the fence. It is so easy to get beautiful cards and pages without much time or effort. And the best part, it looks like it took you forever!

The card that inspired this page…

Hope you find this inspiring.

Scrapbook page, The Beach

So I thought I would show how easy it is to translate a card into a scrapbook page. This is just my fist one. I have another in the works and it should be up soon.

DSC_0555

Here’s the first page. Like it? Look familiar? Below is a card I did a while ago, and it made me think of this trip our family took to the beach. So I thought I would make a scrapbook page in a similar way.

DSC_0470

The scrapbook page would look better if I had the “By the Tide” stamp set as well. The I could have put some coral reef behind the pictures. For that matter, the card might look better with that stamp too. Oh well. I could have also added some splatters of ink to the sand… Why do I always think of better ways to do things after I’ve done them?

Hope you like this little idea. It helps me when I’m stuck for what to do.
